Begin your Goa Away from the Beaches experience with a warm welcome upon your arrival at Goa's Panjim Airport or Thivim station in North Goa. If needed, we can arrange a pickup for you. From there, embark on a local bus or taxi journey to Aldona Village in North Goa.

Your stay during this offbeat tour is with the Amaral family, owners of a stunning Goan-Portuguese house nestled in the quaint Aldona Village. Dating back at least 500 years, this homestay exudes colonial charm. Enjoy one or two private rooms in the outhouse cottage, complete with a shared verandah immersed in lush greenery and the serene melodies of chirping birds.

Take some time to relax or get acquainted with your hosts, Roberto and Raquel, who have rich stories to share about their upbringing in this region and Goa's transformation since the hippie era. Unwind in the tranquil surroundings, perhaps lounging in a hammock or engaging in activities like reading, writing, or painting.

Later today, embark on a leisurely walking or cycling tour around Aldona using the provided mountain bikes. Today's excursion can take you to Arvalem, where you'll discover Asia's oldest rock-cut caves and the majestic Arvalem Waterfalls, perfect for a scenic picnic. You can also paddleboat across the tranquil waters of Mayem Lake, soaking in the natural beauty and tranquility of the surroundings.
