Your journey starts as you drive from Guwahati to Shillong, and the smooth road gives you a refreshing beginning. Along the way, you stop at Umiam Lake, which adds a calm vibe to your day. After reaching Shillong, you check into your hotel and relax for a while. Later, you can walk around the local market to enjoy the hill-town feel.
A beautiful day begins with a visit to Shillong Peak, where you get wide views of the city and hills. Then you move towards Elephant Falls, which stays pleasant throughout the year. Since Shillong is rich in culture, you also explore the Don Bosco Museum. In the evening, Ward’s Lake and Police Bazaar give you a peaceful and lively end to the day.
After breakfast, you leave for Cherrapunji, and the drive becomes more scenic as you enter the misty cliffs. You visit Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls, where the sound of water feels relaxing. The caves of Mawsmai and Arwah add a little adventure to the day.
