Tour Plan
Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and begin the journey toward Shillong. On the way, stop at Umiam Lake to enjoy panoramic lake views and cool breeze. Later, continue to Shillong and check in at the hotel. Spend the evening strolling around Police Bazaar, where you can enjoy food, shopping, and the relaxed hill-town atmosphere. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, start your Shillong city tour. Visit Shillong Peak for a wide-angle view of the entire hill region. Then explore Elephant Falls, known for its three-layered water stream. Continue toward Ward’s Lake and the Don Bosco Museum, where you learn about Northeast culture. Later, walk through local markets for souvenirs. Return to the hotel and relax.
After checkout, drive toward Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on earth. On arrival, visit Nohkalikai Falls, where the deep green valley creates a dramatic view. Continue to Seven Sisters Falls and Eco Park. Later, explore Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave, both known for limestone formations and easy walking trails. Check in at the hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening in Cherrapunji.
Begin early and travel to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Walk across the living root bridge and explore the village lanes. Afterward, continue to Dawki, famous for its crystal-clear Umngot River. Enjoy boating on the transparent water and spend time by the riverside. Later, drive back to Shillong and check in for the night.
After breakfast, depart for Kaziranga. The route becomes scenic as you move toward plains, forests, and rural Assam villages. Arrive at the resort and check in. Spend the evening relaxing in the natural surroundings or enjoy a cultural show if available at the property.
Start your day early with a Jeep Safari inside Kaziranga National Park. The safari takes you through grasslands and forest paths where you may spot the rare one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffalo, deer, and many birds. After safari, return to the resort for breakfast. Later, drive back to Guwahati and check in. Evening is free for local markets or riverfront walks.
In the morning, visit the famous Kamakhya Temple for darshan. Spend some time exploring local markets if time allows. Finally, get transferred to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. Tour ends with beautiful memories of Assam and Meghalaya.
